The Carrot Slayer is a vegetarian Executioner who repudiates violence against men and animals and uses his ax to chop the vegetables rather than to kill. Design by Mauro Gatti for Very Bravo.
The ax swinging at a carrot instead of a person is such a funny twist, and the executioner's hood makes it even better. Card stock feels sturdy too, not flimsy like some collectibles I've bought. Gave me a laugh the second I opened it.
The design perfectly captures the absurdity of a gentle executioner — love how the ax is poised over a carrot instead of anything living. The illustration has a playful, almost retro feel that makes me smile every time I see it.
